We are sad to leave this incredible place, but have had the best time together. We haven’t been alone for this long since we were here for our honeymoon. It was crazy walking on the same beach as we did 14 years ago thinking about all that has happened in our lives since those two babies fell in lust.
I asked Kirk to tell me three things I need to work on when we get home. He said:
1. Communicating/organizing our schedule better
2. Being impatient
3. Being defensive

Guilty. Guilty. Guilty. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have a little anxiety about returning to all that is back to school and the rush of a set calendar, but i know it’s time. I’m thankful that the Lord goes before us in all things, that He’s along side us where we are, and he’s covered what lies behind.

Happy birthday to our Mary Charlotte. It’s hard to believe that FOUR years ago we got a call about a little girl who could be our daughter. I am so thankful and very grateful you are ours!

I don’t normally share things in my personal life like this, but my tennis team is playing in the USTA sectionals today. We advanced from round one and are moving on this afternoon! Joining a tennis team has been such a blast - it’s brought back a side of me that was gone after high school. Love the coaches, love the people, love the clothes.
So excited to be with my partner, @emilyk23 !

Did I mention I’m obsessed with tennis? 🤦🏼‍♀️🎾💪🏻
