I’m in an art funk. I’m not gonna lie. I’d rather play tennis All of the time. I don’t know it’s it’s dreary and my soul is dying for spring, but I needed something new today. So, I’d begrudgingly skipped tennis, walked into my studio and prayed over my space and asked the Lord to tear away all of my dread and feelings of not wanting to be where I should be. Sometimes adulting is the pits. I asked for a new direction and I’m on one. I’m mixing things up, people. It feels exciting...like a fresh wind just barged in my studio. Thank you, Lord. Any other artists out there in a funk?

For the last few weeks I have been taking a break from art and getting my life organized. I’ve literally gone through almost every crevice of our home. The time away from art has been wonderful, but I am so excited to get back in my studio on Monday and begin working on the commissions I have lined up for the spring.
